5. How To Weld HDPE Farm Pond Liner?

Prior to welding HDPE geomembrane, it is important to clean the joints and ensure they are free from oil, dust, and debris. Sample welds should be performed daily, tested for peel and shear strength, and adjusted accordingly. Welds should have a regular and visually pleasing appearance. Long splicing should start with transverse seams before welding longitudinal seams. Overlapping and T-shaped junctions are preferred. Avoid pressurizing the film or creating dead folds during welding. Consider temperature changes and allow for elastic deformation. Clean the welder when the temperature is below 200℃. Treat joints affected by condensation, wetting, or sediment before welding. Avoid welding in rainy or moist conditions, but use protective measures if necessary. Construction should not take place below 5℃ unless the welding machine is preheated. Regularly check and replace worn gun head sliders to prevent damage to the film surface. Ensure a stable power supply during welding, using a voltage regulator if necessary.
